The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
