Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in whose hands is the Kingdom and who has power over all things. 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord, is the punishment of hell; and what a wretched outcome! 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear it roar and raging 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 'Yes, indeed' they will reply, 'but we belied the Warner (Messenger) saying: 'Allah has not sent down anything, you are but in great error' 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames. 11 [As against this,] behold, for those who stand in awe of God although He is beyond the reach of their perception, there is forgiveness in store and a great reward. 12 And whather ye keep your discourse secret or publish it, verily He is the Knower of that which is in the breasts. 13 How could He who created not know His own creation, when He alone is the Most Subtle in His wisdom and the All Aware? 14
