SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 (God) said: "You have the respite 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
