And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
