Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
