Lo! for those who keep from evil are gardens of bliss with their Lord. 34 What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty? 35 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 36 Or do you have a scripture in which you learn 37 and in which you find all that you may wish to find? 38 Or have you oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection? Surely you shall have whatever you judge! 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful. 41 The Day that the shin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to bow in adoration, but they shall not be able,- 42 downcast will be their eyes, with ignominy overwhelming them - seeing that they had been called upon [in vain] to prostrate themselves [before Him] while they were yet sound [and alive]. 43 Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not. 44 I am giving them a respite. Great is My scheme! 45 Or is it that [they fear lest] thou ask them for a reward, [O Prophet,] so that they would be burdened with debt [if they listened to thee]? 46 Or is the Unseen theirs that they can write (thereof)? 47 Exercise patience until the promise of your Lord (to punish the unbelievers) comes true. Do not be like Jonah (who left his people without the permission of God; he wanted them to be punished immediately), 48 Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace. 49 But his Lord exalted him, and included him among His righteous servants. 50 When the unbelievers hear the Reminder, they nearly strike you down with their glances, and say: 'Surely, he is mad' 51 But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. 52
