Blessed is He who could give you palaces and gardens wherein streams would flow, far better than what they want you to have. 10 Aye! they belie the Hour; and We have gotten ready for him who belieth the Hour a Flame. 11 When it beholdeth them from afar, they shall hear it raging and roaring. 12 And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. 13 [They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction." 14 Say: Is this better or the abiding garden which those who guard (against evil) are promised? That shall be a reward and a resort for them. 15 There will they have whatever they wish, and there abide for ever." This is a promise incumbent on your Lord which will certainly be fulfilled. 16 And on the day when He will assemble them and that which they worship instead of Allah and will say: Was it ye who misled these my slaves or did they (themselves) wander from the way? 17 They will answer: "Glory to You. It was not worthy of us to seek any protector other than You. But You allowed them and their fathers a life of ease until they turned oblivious of the Reminder. They were a people impenitent. 18 the Remembrance, and were a people corrupt.' So they cried lies touching the things you say, and you can neither turn it aside, nor find any help. Whosoever of you does evil, We shall let him taste a great chastisement. 19 We never sent before you apostles who did not eat food and walk the market places. We make some of you the means of trying the others. So will you persevere? Your Lord is always watching. 20
