The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
