Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
