The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 And the earth discharges its burdens 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That Day, it will report its news 4 having been inspired by your Lord. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it; 7 And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
