Indeed, Abraham was a [comprehensive] leader, devoutly obedient to Allah, inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allah. 120 he was thankful for His blessings. God chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 We gave him blessings in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be among the righteous. 122 We sent you, (Muhammad), a revelation that you should follow the tradition of Abraham, the upright one, who was not a pagan. 123 The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed thereon; and verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Judgment-Day concerning that wherein they have been differing. 124 Call thou to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and good admonition, and dispute with them in the better way. Surely thy Lord knows very well those who have gone astray from His way, and He knows very well those who are guided. 125 Hence, if you have to respond to an attack [in argument,] respond only to the extent of the attack levelled against you; but to bear yourselves with patience is indeed far better for [you, since God is with] those who are patient in adversity. 126 Be patient; yet your patience is only by the help of Allah. Do not grieve for them (the unbelievers), nor distress yourself because of their devising. 127 For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good. 128
