The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
