Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
