The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And the breath of morning 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
