The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and gently take it away; 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
