O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 Be not as those who say, we hear, and they hear not. 21 ۞ Surely the vilest of animals, in Allah's sight, are the deaf, the dumb, who do not understand. 22 If Allah had found in them any good. He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith). 23 O believers, respond to God and the Messenger when He calls you unto that which will give you life; and know that God stands between a man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be mustered. 24 Guard yourselves against discord among yourselves so that it will not mislead anyone of you, especially the unjust, and know that God's retribution is most severe. 25 And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful. 26 O you who believe! Betray not Allah and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly your Amanat (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allah has ordained for you). 27 and know that your worldly goods and your children are but a trial and a temptation, and that with God there is a tremendous reward. 28
