"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 [having been received with the greeting,] "Enter here in peace, secure!" 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 There shall touch them no toil therein, nor therefrom they shall ever be driven out. 48 ۞ Inform My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, 49 And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you." 52 They said, "Do not be afraid. We come to you with good news. You shall have a son who shall be endowed with great knowledge." 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 He said: And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord but the erring ones? 56 He said: What is your business then, O apostles? 57 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 58 Except Lut's followers: We will most surely deliver them all, 59 "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind." 60
