Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
