Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
