Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
