The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
