The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaSeenMeem. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 It may be that you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not believe. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 So they have cried lies; therefore assuredly tidings will come to them of that they mocked at. 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
