The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
