Al-Najm 3 of 3
Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
