Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
