The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
