And We sent Moses with Our signs, and a manifest authority, 96 Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs: but they followed the command of Pharaoh and the command of Pharaoh was no right (guide). 97 He shall head his people on the Day of Resurrection and cause them to descend into the Fire, ill is the descent descended! 98 They were pursued by a curse in this world and so will they be on the Day of Resurrection. What an evil reward will they receive! 99 These are some of the stories of communities which We relate unto thee: of them some are standing, and some have been mown down (by the sickle of time). 100 for, no wrong did We do to them, but it was they who wronged themselves. And when thy Sustainer's judgment came to pass, those deities of theirs which they had been wont to invoke instead of God proved of no avail whatever to them, and brought them no more than utter perdition. 101 Thus was the punishment of your Lord when He punished the unjust people of the towns. The punishment of your Lord is certainly severe. 102 Indeed, for he who fears the punishment of the Everlasting Life that is a sign. That is a Day on which everyone shall be assembled. That shall be a witnessed Day. 103 And We do not delay it but to an appointed term. 104 On the Day of Judgment no one will speak without the permission of God. Some will be condemned and others blessed. 105 So as to those who are unhappy, they shall be in the fire; for them shall be sighing and groaning in it: 106 so long as the heavens and earth abide, save as thy Lord will; surely thy Lord accomplishes what He desires. 107 ۞ And as for those who will be glad (that day) they will be in the Garden, abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth: a gift unfailing. 108 Have no doubt that these people worship (idols). They worship what their fathers had worshipped before them. We will give them the exact recompense that they deserve. 109
