And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
