T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
