Believers, remember God often. 41 and glorify Him both in the mornings and in the evenings. 42 It is He who blesses you, and His angels, to bring you forth from the shadows into the light. He is All-compassionate to the believers. 43 On the Day they meet Him they will be greeted with: “Peace.” He has prepared for them a generous reward. 44 O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and to bear warning; 45 And as a caller towards Allah, by His command, and as a sun that enlightens. (The Holy Prophet is a light from Allah.) 46 Then give the Glad Tidings to the Believers, that they shall have from Allah a very great Bounty. 47 Do not yield to the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and disregard the hurt that comes from them, and put your trust in Allah. Allah suffices as the Guardian to entrust one's affairs to. 48 Believers, if you marry believing women, and divorce them before the marriage is consummated, you are not required to observe a waiting period: make provision for them and release them in an honourable way. 49 Prophet, We have made lawful for you the wives to whom you have given their dowers, as well as those whom your right hand possesses from among the captives of war whom God has bestowed upon you. and [We have made lawful to you] the daughters of your paternal uncles and aunts, and the daughters of your maternal uncles and aunts, who have migrated with you; and any believing woman who gives herself to the Prophet, provided the Prophet wants to marry her. This applies only to you and not to the rest of the believers. We know what We have prescribed for them concerning their wives and those whom their right hands may possess, in order that there may be no blame on you. God is most forgiving, most merciful. 50 ۞ Thou canst defer whom thou wilt of them and receive unto thee whom thou wilt, and whomsoever thou desirest of those whom thou hast set aside (temporarily), it is no sin for thee (to receive her again); that is better; that they may be comforted and not grieve, and may all be pleased with what thou givest them. Allah knoweth what is in your hearts (O men), and Allah is ever Forgiving, Clement. 51 No other women are lawful for you after this except those you have married, nor to change your present wives for other women even though their beauty should appeal to you. God is watchful of everything. 52
