Al-Shooraa 4 of 5
Whatever affliction may visit you is for your own hands have earned; and He pardons much. 30 And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper. 31 And of His Signs are the ships that sail in the sea like mountains. 32 If He so wills, He can cause the winds to become still so that they will remain motionless on its surface. Surely there are many Signs in this for those who are wont to be steadfast and give thanks. 33 Or, He wrecks them for what they have earned, but He pardons a lot. 34 But let those know, who dispute about Our Signs, that there is for them no way of escape. 35 Whatever thing you have been given is the enjoyment of the present life; but what is with God is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. 36 And for those who avoid cardinal sins and indecencies, and forgive even when they are angry. 37 who obey their Lord and establish Prayer; who conduct their affairs by consultation, and spend out of what We have bestowed upon them; 38 And those who, when an oppressive wrong is inflicted on them, (are not cowed but) help and defend themselves. 39 Let harm be requited by an equal harm. But whoever pardons and amends will find his reward with God. He does not love the wrongdoers. 40 And whoso defendeth himself after he hath suffered wrong - for such, there is no way (of blame) against them. 41 The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. 42 whoever is patient and forgiving, acts with great courage and resolution. 43

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
