We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
