Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
