The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
