Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
