The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
