The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
