The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the shining star -- 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
