The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
