Lo! (on that day) those who disbelieve are informed by proclamation: Verily Allah's abhorrence is more terrible than your abhorrence one of another, when ye were called unto the faith but did refuse. 10 They shall say: Our Lord! twice didst Thou make us subject to death, and twice hast Thou given us life, so we do confess our faults; is there then a way to get out? 11 (They will be told): “(The cause of your present state is that) when Allah alone was invoked, you disbelieved; and when others instead of Him were invoked, you believed. Today all judgement lies with Allah, the Most High, the All-Great.” 12 HE IT IS who shows you His wonders [in all nature,] and sends down sustenance for you from the sky: but none bethinks himself [thereof] save those who are wont to turn to God. 13 Supplicate then to Allah making your religion sincerely His, even though the unbelievers oppose it. 14 Bestower of High Ranks, Owner of the Throne; it is He Who instils the spirit of faith into the one He wills among His bondmen, in order that he may warn of the Day of Meeting. – 15 A day when they will be fully exposed; nothing from their affairs will be hidden from Allah; “For whom is the kingship this day? For Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 16 today each soul will be recompensed for that which it hath earned; no wrong-doing today; verily Allah is Swift at reckoning. 17 [O Prophet] forewarn them of the approaching Day, when hearts will leap up to the throats and choke them; when the wrongdoers will have no friend, nor any intercessor who will be listened to, 18 He knows the stealthy looks and that which the breasts conceal. 19 And God will judge in accordance with truth and justice, whereas those [beings] whom they invoke beside Him cannot judge at all: for, verily, God alone is all-hearing, all-seeing. 20
