Surely Ibrahim was an exemplar, obedient to Allah, upright, and he was not of the polytheists. 120 (He was) thankful for His (Allah's) Graces. He (Allah) chose him (as an intimate friend) and guided him to a Straight Path (Islamic Monotheism, neither Judaism nor Christianity). 121 And We vouchsafed unto him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be of the righteous. 122 Afterwards We revealed unto thee: follow thou the faith of Ibrahim the upright; and he was not of the associaters. 123 The Sabbath was only enjoined on those who differed about it. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding the things about which they differed. 124 Call thou to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and good admonition, and dispute with them in the better way. Surely thy Lord knows very well those who have gone astray from His way, and He knows very well those who are guided. 125 And if ye chastise, then chastise with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted, and if ye endure patiently, then surely it is better for the patient. 126 And endure you patiently (O Muhammad SAW), your patience is not but from Allah. And grieve not over them (polytheists and pagans, etc.), and be not distressed because of what they plot. 127 for, verily, God is with those who are conscious of Him and are doers of good withal! 128
