And assuredly We have created man and We know whatsoever his soul whispereth unto him, and We are nigher unto him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
