The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what sin she was killed 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Where then will you go? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
