The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And our fathers too?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
