Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
