Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Allah has destroyed the deeds of those who disbelieved and prevented from Allah’s way. 1 As for those who attained to faith and did righteous works and believed in what was revealed to Muhammad -- which indeed is the Truth from their Lord -- Allah has remitted their evil deeds and has set their condition right. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Even so God strikes their similitudes for men. 3 Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain. 4 He will guide them and improve their state, 5 and He will admit them to the Paradise He has made known to them. 6 O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet. 7 But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds. 8 That is because they detest that which Allah hath sent down, and so He shall make of non-effect their works. 9 ۞ Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [willful sinners] who lived before their time? God destroyed them utterly: and the like thereof awaits all who deny the truth. 10 God is the guardian of the believers, but the disbelievers have no guardian. 11
