The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
