The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
