The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
