Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
